Clinical Core for Upper Body 2 - November 19-20, 2022

Upper Core 2 is focused on refining the muscle and technique knowledge gained in its prerequisite, Clinical Core for Upper Body 1, as well as developing robust analytical skills for upper body complaints - particularly shoulder and neck pain. The Upper Core Protocol is a powerful analytical tool that requires assessment and decision making to unc0ver the true sources of upper body pain. Analysis and efficient use of the protocol are the most important aspects of a CTB therapist's knowledge. Without these tools, the best techniques are likely to produce poor or short-lived results. We will explore the contributions of satellite referral, functional relationships between the scapular positioning muscles and the interaction of scapular and glenohumeral muscles. The neck can also be a potent source of shoulder pain and we will deepen understanding of how to properly evaluate and treat the neck muscles included in the Upper Core Protocol.

Students are required to attend Clinical Core for the Upper Body 1 prior to attending this course.
