Tai Chi essentially means wholeness. It is a flowing, graceful form of meditation in movement, that promotes health, balance, stress reduction, and a heightened awareness and connection to one's body, mind and spirit. It is also a powerful art of self defense rooted in neutralizing violence with alert, relaxed response.

The Harvard Medical journal, and many others, recognize Tai Chi as an excellent therapy and prevention for many chronic illnesses and disease.

It is highly beneficial to anyone regardless of age or physical ability.

Michael McGinn has been practicing Tai Chi, and other integrative movement and health disciplines, for 40 years.

He brings this experience and creative blend into a teaching style that allows each student to find their own direct and unique practice, while benefitting from ancient and classic structured movement and wisdom.

Michael teaches groups and private classes, and has trained in Yoga, Shaolin Kung Fu, Capoeira, Chi Gung and Nei Gung, Hsing Yi and Ba Gua.

He lived and studied one on one for 3 years in Taiwan with his Teacher, Chang Gwo Chung.

Michael has a BA in Dance from Columbia College where he has taught Tai Chi for 30 years.
